I’ve tried quite a few “blue” fragrances over the years, so when I won “The Bleu” (alternate of Bleu de Chanel), I was honestly excited but also a little skeptical. After wearing it properly for a few hours, I can confidently say, this one genuinely impressed me.
Let me tell you something that impressed me like anything. So when I opened the parcel, I immediately sprayed it on my hand to check the level of similarity. The scent profile was beautiful. For a couple of hours I could still smell it on my hand. Then I decided to do something different. I took a shower and my shower gel smells like coconut and passionfruit. Believe me or not, my entire body smelled like the shower gel excelt for that one spot on my hand where I sprayed the perfume. This impressed me as it didn’t wear off at all. Beautiful creation I must say!!
From the very first spray, you get that fresh citrus burst. Clean, slightly zesty, and uplifting, but it’s not sharp or synthetic. Within minutes, it settles into that smooth, slightly woody, slightly spicy heart that makes Bleu de Chanel so addictive. There’s this classy blend of freshness and depth that just feels effortless. It’s not loud in an annoying way, but it definitely gets noticed.
What I personally loved is how balanced it feels. It’s fresh enough for daytime wear. University, office, casual outings, but it also has that warm woody base that makes it perfect for evenings. The dry down is where it really shines for me. Smooth woods with a subtle creamy warmth that feels mature, confident, and clean.
Longevity on my skin has been solid. I get several good hours where it projects nicely, and even after that, it stays close to the skin in a very pleasant way. I’ve received compliments wearing this, and that says a lot.
Overall, “The Bleu” captures the spirit of Bleu de Chanel really well. Modern, versatile, and classy. It gives you that signature “fresh but powerful” vibe without feeling overdone. For a startup brand to pull this off at this level is genuinely impressive.
If this is the quality they’re putting out, I’m definitely curious to try more from them.
